Our whole school has embraced Children's Mental Health week!
We began our week with our EA representative Charlene Mullan and the Year 14 Mental Health Ambassadors hosting our KS3 assembly to highlight the importance of keeping good mental health!
Throughout the entire week, Charlene Mullan our 'in house' EA Youth worker has been providing 'Let's Connect' workshops to all our KS3 Students.
On Tuesday we had the first of our 4 week ‘Breathe’ Programme where our Year 8 and 9 focused on their breathing and techniques to overcome stressful situations. Our Year 13 and 14 also had a Movie morning.
Year 8's took part in friendship bingo which got them interacting with each other in order to find out all the facts on their sheet well done to Mrs Hughes for organising!
Wednesday saw our Wellness Wednesday Health Fair which was hosted by Oak Healthy living for all year groups where they went during lunch and picked up some lovely treats! Sean came in from the EA to introduce Young Lad's shed to our year groups which will give them the skills to get creating!
On Thursday we will have our Year 12 Common Youth and our Wellbeing ambassador group will be going to the Croft Farm shop for some coffee, cake and care.
On Friday our highest achieving Year 8 merit winners will attend the Lakeland Forums Healthy Fair.
